The launch and take-out places have been changed because of low water levels.
The new trip is:
West Chickamauga Creek: Dietz Rd to Camp Jordan upper launch
Join us for a five-mile Class 1 trip on West Chickamauga Creek. After the trip we will meet at Jonathans, across the street from Bass Pro Shop, for anyone that would like to join us.
The new launch site is the Dietz Road launch near Dietz Rd and Cloud Springs Rd. The address is across the street from 90 Dietz Rd, Ringgold, GA 30736. The coordinates are 34.956165, -85.202784. Please meet here at 10:00 am on Saturday. We will run shuttle and set sail.
The take-out is at Camp Jordan upper launch at 34.999860, -85.202204. The address for Camp Jordan is 323 Camp Jordan Parkway, East Ridge, TN 37412.
DIRECTIONS DIETZ to CAMP JORDAN Turn left coming from the ramp onto Dietz Rd. At the traffic light turn right onto Cloud Springs Rd and go up to the traffic light at the BP Kangaroo. Turn left onto Scruggs Rd and go for two miles. Turn left onto Ringgold Rd, Hwy 41 and right at the 2nd traffic light by Bass Pro Shop. When you get past the pedestrian STOP sign turn left into the Camp Jordan parking lot and Ramp 1 will be half way down the parking lot on the left hand side.
SHUTTLE CAMP JORDAN to DIETZ Come out of Camp Jordan and turn left onto Ringgold Rd Hwy 41. Go to the traffic light and turn right onto Scruggs Rd. Go two miles and turn right onto Cloud Springs Rd at the BP Kangaroo. Go to the next light and turn left onto Dietz at the closed gas station Go 50 feet and turn right onto the gravel road to the ramp.
